'Being Natural' is a healthy way to improve self-confidence and self-esteem at the same time promoting an incentive for physical fitness. If you've decided that 'Being Natural' is something you'd like to try here are some basic ideas and methods that should help you on your journey.
Sleep unclothed
The easiest way to start becoming comfortable with being natural might be to try sleeping without any clothing. The next time you're ready for bed and undress down to your underwear, break an old habit and keep going. You'll be surprised how relaxing it can become.
Lounge around
Once you become accustomed to sleeping natural don't get dressed right away after you wake up. Try lounging around your room for a while. It can be quite rewarding to spend a bit of 'me time'.
Do some chores
When you have something like chores to do and you know they really need to be done, but don't feel like doing them try making it into an adventure. Do them without clothes on. Give it a try they'll be done before you know it.
Go outside
Once you are comfortable with being natural it's nice to find a way to experience the breeze and the sun of the outdoors.
Check your backyard and see if there is a secluded area that is suitable. If not perhaps you can create one without too much trouble. Maybe all you need to do is hang a few sheets on the fence or move that wood pile. If there's a will there's a way.
Vitamin D from the sun has been known to aid the strength of the immune system as well as combat depression, but use common sense. A certain amount of unprotected sun exposure is beneficial, but over exposure in its early stage can cause burning and continued over exposure beyond that stage could lead to skin disorders. The safe amount depends on your skins properties. Darker skinned people are more resistant to the suns affects. In the beginning I would recommend avoiding peak UV times and if you are out for more than 1 hour be sure to take the appropriate precautions (i.e. stay in the shade, etc.). Ultimately you will have to determine for yourself how long and at what times are safe to be in the sun.
Being Natural with others
Maybe there's a clothing optional beach in your area you'd like to visit or you've decided that being natural is something you'd like to do with others.
Finding a way to do this and do it safely can sometimes be difficult. I recommend getting advice from more than one source. To steer you in the right direction a good resource would be the Clothes Free Forums at clothesfree.com.
A word of caution - If you are under the age of 18 and decide you would like to experience 'being natural' at clothing optional beaches or with other people I seriously recommend being responsible and inform a parent or gaurdian. A part of 'being natural' is common sense
(i.e. Know when the line is being crossed.).
Please play safe.
